ART PUNE has been very instrumental in identifying the issues of Pune District, prioritizing them, and fulfilling them
One of our ambitious projects was PROJECT RURAL ABC in collaboration with VOSD.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Pune city and Pcmc have got Government-funded ABC projects.
But in adjoining areas of the city, almost every second female dog is either lactating or pregnant resulting in a huge increase in the stray dog population which came in handy with increased human-animal conflict and cruelty to animals.
A knowledge, Attitudes, and practice survey was done with the help of Sarpanches of various villages, and the project was kickstarted.
During this project, we almost sterilised 185 female dogs for free from gram panchayats of Shewalewadi , wagholi , Manjri Budruk , Loni , Theur , Shirur , Manjri Khurd, etc

AND MORE SO, NONE OF OUR DOG PATIENTS WERE RELEASED BACK WITHOUT GETTING STERLISED.
